Often, we have so many initiatives in education that it is hard to slow down and do things well. There are many competing priorities yet for a systemic approach to happen, we have to slow down and focus on what it is we are implementing. We must lead with thoughtfulness, time to practice, and deep care for those we serve. Join us to learn about a journey with administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers in word study (including phonemic awareness and phonics) to build common understandings, explore practices, and provide a scope and sequence that allows for responsiveness in teaching.
