Full Steam Ahead with Super iPad Apps and Children's Books for the Literacy Classroom Discover and Explore recent engaging iPad apps and award-winning children’s books for challenging real world projects in the literacy classroom. Create new innovative projects for your students. There are many iPad apps and children's books that help students learn to express themselves, consider various viewpoints and develop opinions. Free and inexpensive iPad apps will be demonstrated and many award-winning children's books paired with the apps will be shown. Coding and other computer science apps and books will be presented. Useful tips for integrating iPad apps into the literacy classroom will be given. Participants will have new resources for planning projects for their students.

Janet Jordan has taught about integrating technology into the PreK-12 curriculum for many years to undergraduates, teachers, children, and parents. She currently makes iPad presentations at many local, state and national education conferences. Janet was a longtime officer on the Fort Wayne ILA Board.
