How do we know what actually works in education? How do we know what instructional strategies truly make an impact on student achievement? Is there a way to tell? In this session, we explore the research of John Hattie and his Visible Learning team to reveal the top 18 strategies that promote surface, deep, and transfer of learning for literacy. Once these strategies are identified, teachers can then determine when (in units and the PLC process) to leverage each strategy for student growth and achievement.
