I am a 1st grade teacher at Thorpe Creek Elementary in Hamilton Southeastern Schools. I taught kindergarten for 3 years and recently made the switch to 1st grade.  I am in awe of the learning that happens in these younger years and am constantly amazed by what this age group can accomplish together in a year.  I am passionate about incorporating all things equity and justice in my classroom from the diverse books I read and have available for students to the important conversations we have in our classroom around identity, bias, and anti-racism.
